This has been my go to in Leeds for years now so I thought it only right I leave a review! I can’t not order the mackeral, rice and salad whenever I’m here. It’s just ridiculously good! Super fresh, tasty and light. Just the best!

Spotted Mr Mackerel at the Kirkgate Market and had to give it a try. Always love a good bit of fish, and if you name your restaurant after a dish it has to be your best foot forward, right? Luckily that turned out to be the case when they freshly grilled a piece for me and made me a refreshing and clean tasting sandwich that didn't feel too heavy on the stomach. Turn around was about 5 minutes after ordering and seating was ample. Overall great experience!

I eat here regularly but was prompted to review after another great lunch. This place is fantastic. The food is fresh, tasty and cooked in front of you. I usually go for the Mackerel rice box which is a filling meal and great value. The mackerel is delicious, the salad crunchy and the small cup of incredible lentil soup the icing on the cake. Highly recommend.

Beautiful food, the mackerel fish is cooked to perfection a very popular dish,I opted for the grilled chicken shish kebab with the chip's and salad.good service and a popular street food stall along with other entertainment going on around. The prices are exceptional for the good quality food you are served,I certainly will be going again it was a nice pleasant and enjoyable lunch.

First time visiting. Didn't know they had the kirkgate market opened near the rear for street food kitchen. Mr Mackerel though an exceptional place which had some decent grub without the need to break the bank. Ordered the chicken shish kebab. With chips and salad boy was it lovely and even so perfect for 2 person. Will definitely be coming back to try the others dished. Simple yet affordable. I must add their customer service levels are excellent too. Dont take my word for it. Try them and see.

I grabbed a bite here as I was waiting to board my coach at the bus station next door. I ordered the chicken shish wrap with salad and garlic mayo and a side of grilled halloumi. They were both absolutely amazing (much tastier than expected). The chicken was tender and the salad and wrap were lovely and fresh. The halloumi was absolutely delicious and quite possibly the best halloumi I've ever had. The service was fast and the staff were polite and helpful. I would absolutely visit again when I'm next in the area.
